Wim Heinecke studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts.

A remarkable composition, especially considering the fact that Rotterdam was bombed later.

Wim Heinecke primarily painted Rotterdam scenes such as ships in the ports of Rotterdam, tugboats and wagons, horses, and streets, but also landscapes and still lifes with flowers. Heinecke was a board member of the Professional Association for Visual Artists for 21 years and was one of the founders of the Artists' Society "De Eendracht".
